Phoenix Glass (1934 – 1970)

The British Heat Resisting Glass Co Ltd

Lt. Col Philip Victor Willingham Gell an ex employee of Chance Glass found the British Heat Resisting Glass Company which were in to production in 1934. All their products are stamped “Phoenix”. They made over ware and scientific glass in their factory in Bilston. They were taken over by United Glass Ltd in 1968. They were closed down in 1970.
